Who should get the Vienna Pass

The Vienna Pass is the ideal card for those planning to visit the city’s most important paid attractions. It is also recommended for those who want to visit the Austrian capital on hop-on hop-off buses.

For example, if during your days in Vienna you decide to visit Schonbrunn Palace, Schonbrunn Zoo, the Leopold Museum, the Spanish Riding School, the Museum of Art History by taking a hop-on hop-off bus tour, you would spend a total of 140 euros, while with the Vienna Pass you get everything included.

How to buy and activate the Vienna Pass

You can buy the Vienna Pass online at this link or by filling out the form below. Then, once you arrive in Vienna, you will need to pick up your physical Vienna Pass at the tourist office located across from the Vienna State Opera, at 3-5 Opernring, no. 17-24, from 9am to 6pm.

Activation takes place automatically on first use at an attraction or on the hop-on hop-off bus. It is important to start use in the morning of the first day in order to maximise the available hours, as the day count runs from midnight to midnight.

An alternative to the Vienna Pass: the Vienna Flexi Pass

The Vienna Flexi Pass is a flexible alternative to the traditional Vienna Pass, allowing you to choose 2, 3, 4 or 5 specific attractions from a catalogue of over 60 available destinations. This solution is suitable for those who have precise ideas about which visits to make.

Unlike the Vienna Pass with fixed time validity, the Flexi Pass is valid for 60 days from the first use, offering ideal time flexibility for those visiting Vienna during extended stays or multiple trips. There is no time pressure to pack all visits into consecutive days.

The hop-on hop-off tour is included as a choice in the Flexi Pass, but with an extended duration of 72 hours instead of the classic 24 hours. This allows the tour service to be used for several days without occupying additional slots in the pass.

Savings can be as much as 30% compared to single entry prices, making it competitive for those with a selective visit schedule. The multiple choice system allows you to balance expensive attractions with less expensive experiences to optimise value.

The Flexi Pass includes priority access at many attractions and the same multilingual guidebook as the standard Vienna Pass, maintaining the same standards of service and convenience without the time constraint.
